Electric utility training courses with depth, value and effect.
Why are PTS electric utility training courses so highly valued?
Because the course structure includes a comprehensive foundational course designed for personnel of all levels, as well as a series of advanced courses tailored for specific job types.
Last year, our courses had a national average rating of 9.7 out of 10 across thousands of attendees from different occupations and experience levels.
Simply put, these courses make a difference and attendees find great value.
About the Courses
The foundational course is Electric Utility System Operations, which has a 1-day, 2-day or 3-day version. This course has been taken by thousands of people around North America and it is the precursor course to our advanced courses.
PTS offers advanced courses to professionals with technical or non-technical backgrounds and the courses are tailored to specific job types.
This mix of in-depth fundamentals with advanced deep dives is structured to be challenging, thoughtful, and fun. Courses include hands-on demonstrations and a course handbook filled with content and learning visuals to explain complex topics.
Courses are interactive and include a combination of real world examples along with Q&A with people, often from different occupational backgrounds. It gives attendees the opportunity to learn the course subject matter while also learning how others from different parts of the utility system approach the topics.
Attending Courses
Courses are available as in-house training for participating utilities and engineering firms.
Courses are also offered at local and regional venues across the U.S. and can be attended by any registrants.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
PTS courses can be used for continuing education unit hours and attendees receive certificates and confirmation of their completed hours of education after the class concludes.
